Join artist Katie Rodgers for an immersive creative retreat set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Pedernal - a place where the land itself feels like an ever changing painting.
We’ll gather and stay at a the LAND, a beautiful, private creative compound nestled in the high desert to explore the intersection of nature, color, and personal expression. This retreat is an invitation to slow down and let the landscape move you. Through guided exercises, quiet studio time, and open-ended creative play, you’ll have the space to reconnect with your artistic voice, whether you’re a seasoned painter or just beginning. We’ll wander the land for inspiration, share meals at sunset under wide skies, and enjoy optional experiences such as a visit to Georgia O’Keeffe’s home and studio - a rare glimpse into the world of one of the most iconic American artists who drew inspiration from this very terrain. All levels are welcome. All mediums are encouraged. Come with curiosity and a sketchbook - leave with a renewed connection to the land and your creative self.

Katie Rodgers is an artist known for her imaginative play with the natural world. Finding inspiration through gardening and her love for adventure and travel, Katie has created work for world renowned brands such as Clé de Peau Beauté, Oribe, Estee Lauder, Diptyque Paris, La Maison du Pastel, Samsung, Harper Collins, Veuve Clicquot, and Focus Features among others. Working in a variety of mediums, Katie’s work often dances to life through her illustrative pastels, 3D installations, animation, for both fine art and commercial projects. Her work has appeared in Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Glamour Magazine, Elle Magazine, and The New York Times.
